Technical/Functional Skills


Apache, Tomcat, Websphere MQ, PostGres, SQL
Knowledge in Apache Tomcat configuration.
Flexibility to work in a 24*7 support model
On call support
Should have knowledge on Tomcat JSP optimization techniques.
Should have knowledge on Apache Tomcat proxy configuration.
Complete knowledge on the concept of Apache, Tomcat & postGres database
Thorough knowledge on Tomcat Administration techniques.
Should have thorough knowledge on MQ Websphere fundamentals.
Should have thorough knowledge on Middleware concepts and fundamentals
Should have exposure in MQ Websphere version 7
Should have knowledge on application maintenance and portability.
Should have knowledge on observing Performance, Load, Capacity and Scalability in real environment
Should have knowledge on failure handling
Knowing ITIL Concepts will be an advantage.
ITIL Foundation certification preferred

Experience Required

Must have a proven track record of leading Managed Services for large customers. Should have ability to interact with stakeholders and vendors to define system functionality meeting/exceeding client expectations. Must have thorough knowledge on Storage Management and should have knowledge on handling end to end processes.

Roles & Responsibilities


Websphere & Apache application engineer.
Should be able to provide Quality Assurance
Should have ability to work towards meeting the customer/client needs.
Should be Individual contributor and Self initiative.
Coordinating day-to-day work with Supplier personnel
Actively identify and manage project risks. Discuss risks and mitigation strategies
Ability to work towards meeting the needs on time.
Acts as single point of contact for the Application related issues/queries.
Manage knowledge transition within the team and outside
Provide daily operational management
Manage workload of team members
Prioritize service requests, in consultation with Clients
Attend scheduled meetings with designated management to review status, problems and solutions
Open a trouble ticket with Incident Tools when an outage occurs at a remote location
Report, log, and update outages in the internal ticketing tool.
Must be able to work in a team environment and possess interpersonal and written communication skills.
Focus on continuous process improvement and service quality
SLA monitoring and tracking
Provide technical assistance to team members
Coordinate with offshore team, Technical Leads and Project Managers
